Awarded the title of "Honorary Doctorate" by Istanbul Kültür University on March 9, 2011; Architect, Restorer & Historian Professor Doğan Kuban, who passed away on September 22, 2021, was commemorated with a ceremony organized by IKU Faculty of Architecture. On Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 15.00, the commemoration ceremony was held at Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall with the title of "Understanding Doğan Kuban"; Prof. Dr. Zeynep Ahunbay, Prof. Dr. Zafer Ertürk and Dr. Doğan Hasol attended. The moderator of the ceremony was Prof. Dr. Zeynep Kuban .

A "Skill Development Workshop" will be held by Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Architecture between 28 June and 2 July 2021, open to the participation of first-year students only. Within the scope of the workshop, the topics of "Lecture Techniques and Computerized Expression Techniques", one of the first year courses, will be covered. Istanbul Kültür University Department of Architecture continues to bring together the world's famous architects with their students and the architectural environment in the 2020-2021 Spring Semester. The last speaker of the conference series held online was the famous Turkish architect Ferda Kolatan on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 20.00. Kolatan is the Founding Director of SU11 Architecture + Design Office and is also an associate professor at the University of Pennsylvania Weitzman Faculty of Design.
