The Chamber of Architects has been holding "Architecture and Education Conventions" in universities in various cities of Turkey every two years since 2001, in cooperation with academic institutions, in order to discuss the problems of architectural education and the professional environment in many ways and to produce solutions by taking into account the conditions of the country. Awarded the title of "Honorary Doctorate" by Istanbul Kültür University on March 9, 2011; Architect, Restorer & Historian Professor Doğan Kuban, who passed away on September 22, 2021, was commemorated with a ceremony organized by IKU Faculty of Architecture. On Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 15.00, the commemoration ceremony was held at Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall with the title of "Understanding Doğan Kuban"; Prof. Dr. Zeynep Ahunbay, Prof. Dr. Zafer Ertürk and Dr. Doğan Hasol attended. The moderator of the ceremony was Prof. Dr. Zeynep Kuban .
