ISTANBUL SUMMER SCHOOL 2023: ARCHITECTURAL DETAIL AND THE SEARCH FOR GENIUS LOCI IN A CONTEMPORARY SKETCH BY YOUNG ARCHITECTS

Istanbul Summer School 2023, titled "Architectural Detail and the Search for Genius Loci in a Contemporary Sketch by Young Architects" and conducted by Piotr Karbalczyk (University of Ecology and Management in Warsaw) in collaboration with Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Architecture and Erasmus+ Internship Consortium, has started between 06-16 September 2023. In the summer school, ten sketching workshops will be organized, three at our university and seven at selected locations.

OUR FACULTY OF ARCHITECTURE DEAN PROF. DR. NESLİHAN DOSTOĞLU ATTENDED WORKSHOPS IN THE EARTHQUAKE ZONE

Our Faculty of Architecture Dean Prof. Dr. Neslihan Dostoğlu took part in the events held in Hatay on 23-24 August 2023, with the contributions of the Archaeology and Cultural Heritage and Civil Society and Collective Research working groups, within the scope of the works carried out by the Common Mind-Antakya Platform for the revitalization of Antakya and its surroundings after the earthquakes of 6 February 2023. Prof. Dr. Dostoğlu, who was invited to events as a member of the Archaeology and Cultural Heritage Working Group, attended various workshops and made field visits.

IKU Faculty of Architecture Dean Prof.  Dr.  Neslihan Dostoğlu, on 18 February 2023 at Kültür Radio and Television (KRT) appeared as a guest on the programme titled “Is Istanbul Earthquake Prepared?” alongside Prof.  Dr.  Ahmet Ercan, Prof.  Dr.  Ali Kahriman, Prof.  Dr. Fuat Ercan, Archaeologist Nezih Başgelen, Prof.  Dr.  Okan Tüysüz, Assoc.  Dr. Ali Tolga and Architect Tezcan Karakuş Candan.
