The project titled “Energy Efficient Living Unit for Disaster Situations” created by Şimal Kalkan, 4th year student of Architecture (English) and Öykü Konya, 2nd year student of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, under the supervision of Prof. Dr.

Istanbul Kültür University Architecture Program, having been one of the two architecture departments that applied to the Architecture Accreditation Board (MIAK-MAK), first received a 3-year accreditation in 2010. Then, for the time period spanning the years 2014-2020, the “3. 6-Year Accreditation with Specialized Evaluation per Year” was granted with the decision of the board bearing the date 16.02.2018 thanks to the positive result of the specialized evaluation made on the 2017 Annual Report, granting “6-Year Accreditation”.

An event titled "Architects and Interior Architects under the Spotlight" was held at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center annually organized in cooperation with the Faculty of Architecture, Architecture Club, and Interior Architecture and Design Club, on Monday, December 26. At the event, certificates were granted to our students, with high honor degrees, granted awards in competitions and participated in social responsibility projects. The event was concluded with the stage performance of İKU Orchestra.
