The end of the academic year breakfast event of IKU Faculty of Architecture was held on Monday, June 13 with the participation of the academic staff of the Department of Architecture and the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design.
Within the scope of the symposium themed “Architectural Episodes 02: New Dialogues in Architectural Education and Practice” organized by IKU Faculty of Architecture Department of Architecture, a workshop titled “Muğla Transcripts in/on Disasters: Forest Fires 2021” was organized in cooperation with Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University and Istanbul Kültür University Department of Architecture students. The international symposium organized by the IKU Faculty of Architecture Department of Architecture has started on March 24, 2022, Thursday, online. The symposium, in which the opening speeches are made by Assist. Prof. Elif Altınok Çalışkan, Rector Consultant, in the name of IKU Rector, Prof, Dr. Neslihan Dostoğlu, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Prof. Dr. Esin Kasapoğlu, Head of the Department of Architecture, Assoc. Prof. Zühre Yıldırım, Head of the Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Faculty of Architecture, focuses on the new dialogues in the architecture education and practice.
With the support of Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Architecture, an online event was organized by AssiaX-G100 Design & Lifestyle Community, in order to bring different country representatives and all the young talents on “March 8 International Women’s Day.” The main theme of the event titled “Empowering the Young Woman Talents in Design” was “sustainability, durability and biologic diversity.”
With the collaboration of the Faculty of Architecture, Architecture Club and Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Club, the event titled “Architects and Interior Architects are On the Stage” on March 2, Wednesday between 14.00-16.00. In the event, in which Akıngüç Auditorium and Arts Center was the homeownership, the students who were valedictorians and who earned the awards in the contests were presented with their certificate of achievements. The ceremony ended with IKU Orchestra’s performances.
A meeting has organized in order to introduce the Labor Agreement signed by the Faculty of Architecture between Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) and Deutsche Management Akademie Niedersachsen (DMAN) to our Faculty of Architecture students, with the participation of our Rector. The meeting, in which the 3rd and 4th grade students from the Department of Architecture and the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design attended, held at 11.00 on Monday, February 28, 2022 at the Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall.
Within the scope of the "Design Competition" organized after the signing of the cooperation protocol between the Rectorate of TR Istanbul Kültür University and MODOKO; A workshop was held between 7-9 February with the participation of MODOKO Management. MODOKO Board Member İrfan Çimen, MODOKO General Manager Abdurrahim Erdoğan, MODOKO Advertising Manager Serap Entürk and MODOKO Senior Art Director Hümeyra Sarıal were present at our university on the first day of the workshop.
In order to support the creation of creative and innovative solutions focused on biotechnology and biological sciences and the interdisciplinary exchange of ideas between young people studying architecture and design and professionals who believe in lifelong learning, Kale Design and Art Center (KTSM) is launching the “Sustainable Solutions Inspired by Nature: Architecture and Design Perspective Program”. Applications for the program, which will be implemented with the support of Kalebodur, started as of January 19th.
A brief is organized by the Prof. Dr. Gülce Öğrüç Ildız, Secretary of Technology and Project Support Unit & Coordinator of Scientific Research Projects with the participation of the Faculty of Architecture’s academic staff. In the brief, which was conducted on January 20, 2022, Thursday at 13.00, Prof. Dr. Gülce Öğrüç Ildız made a presentation including the terms of application, what must be done for application and the supports to get. The brief ended with answering the questions of academic staff.
