MIAK-MAK ACCREDITATION

With the decision of the Architectural Accreditation Board (MIAK-MAK) bearing the date 20.02.2023, Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Architecture Architecture (Turkish) Undergraduate Program was granted "Conditional 6-Year" and Architecture (English) Undergraduate Program "3-Year Accreditation".

Istanbul Kültür University Architecture Program, having been one of the two architecture departments that applied to the Architecture Accreditation Board (MIAK-MAK), first received a 3-year accreditation in 2010. Then, for the time period spanning the years 2014-2020, the “3. 6-Year Accreditation with Specialized Evaluation per Year” was granted with the decision of the board bearing the date 16.02.2018 thanks to the positive result of the specialized evaluation made on the 2017 Annual Report, granting “6-Year Accreditation”. Finally, with the decision of MİAK-MAK dated 20.02.2023, Architecture (Turkish) Undergraduate Program was granted "Conditional 6-Year Accreditation" and Architecture (English) Undergraduate Program "3-Year Accreditation". Accreditation is a quality assurance system that ensures that the quality of the training program is carried out in accordance with the accepted standards. With the IKU Architecture Department English Program being granted accreditation for the first time and the Turkish Program for the third time, that it one of the established and acclaimed educational institutions in the domain of Architecture was recognised and verified.
