3RD EXHIBITION OF "MUĞLA TRANSCRIPTS IN/ON DISASTERS: FOREST FIRES 2021", IS OPENED AT THE CHAMBER OF ARCHITECTS OF TURKEY ISTANBUL METROPOLITAN BRANCH

Within the scope of the symposium themed “Architectural Episodes 02: New Dialogues in Architectural Education and Practice” organized by IKU Faculty of Architecture Department of Architecture, a workshop titled “Muğla Transcripts in/on Disasters: Forest Fires 2021” was organized in cooperation with Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University and Istanbul Kültür University Department of Architecture students. The workshop, in which Prof. Dr. Emel Birer and Assist. Prof. Esin Hasgül from İstanbul Kültür University, Assoc. Prof. Öncü Başdoğan Avşar from Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Assist. Prof. İlke Tekin, Dr. Fulya Pelin Cengizoğlu Başaran, Res. Assist. Hüseyin Furkan Balcı and Res. Assist. Mihriban Duman partcipated as the coordinator, was held on March 5-6, 2022 simultaneously in Istanbul and Muğla. In the first stage of the workshop; an online panel was held on March 5, 2022, in which presentations on the content of the workshop were held, and evaluations on climate change were made in the panel. In line with the information obtained from the panel with the students, a face-to-face workshop process was conducted on March 6, 2022 and infographic productions were made on the subject. Workshop results were presented and discussed at the symposium. The opening of the third of the exhibition, which will include the projects obtained as a result of the workshop, held on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 18.00 at the entrance floor exhibition hall of the Chamber of Architects of Turkey, Istanbul Metropolitan Branch. The exhibition will be visited until May, 8, 2022.
